Introduction of 3D assets into corporate global 2D content creation model.

3D OPPORTUNITY

Need: Align product development, product marketing asset creation and product launch schedules and cut costs across departments.

3D PROPOSAL

Proposed 3D PDP (Product Display Page) assets allowing marketing asset creation & product production to happen simultaneously ensuring product launch dates. 3D assets also allow for design flexibility, updates, and iterations while reducing photography demands and post production.

RESULT

After a successful implementation of 3D assets for e-comm PDP packaged consumables, I was asked to develop tier 1 product launch assets for consumables and eventually asked to conduct a full enterprise global 3D rebrand elevating brand aesthetic while slashing production costs by 40%.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ART DIRECTION

Developed Art Direction for overall look and feel of 3D assets including, lighting, shadows, material thickness, ambient occlusion, angles, and final deliverable specifications.

TALENT ACQUISITION

Conducted a thorough enterprise level 3D Vendor review to discover the studio capable of producing approx. 800 renders as well as execute top tier marketing assets to support WW’s international e-commerce business.

ACQUISITION: STEP 1

Developed a standardized render test to explore & compare 3D vendor workflow and render quality to determine best alignment.

ACQUISITION: STEP 2

Researched and Discovered Potential Vendors, conducted perspective vendor interviewers, selected candidates and launched 3 3D vendor tests. Afterwards I organized all findings and evaluated results.

ACQUISITION: STEP 3

Presentation vendor acquisition study results to global marketing team. My recommended vendor was contracted to complete 800+ renders for a full global 3D rebranding supporting a 40% reduction in production costs.
